Owners Yerko Ivelic, Javier Lopez and Nani Astorga are the founders of Cascada Expediciones, the company behind EcoCamp Patagonia. Born and raised in Chile, classmates and kayaking pals at university, Javier and Yerko took the risky decision about 30 years ago, together with kayak instructor Nani Astorga, to found a whole new type of company in Chile, offering eco-tourism adventures. To their (and their employees') delight, it's been success after success!
They founded EcoCamp Patagonia in 2001, the world's first geodesic hotel that has become a reference of sustainable lodging for travelers from around the world.
